Mr Marris in his inquests includes the date of death and the date when he
(as coroner) registered the death.

An example:

25 July 1837 Barrow / 24 July Barrow / Sarah Franklin / F / 61 / Wife of
William Franklin of Barrow, laborer / Died by the visitation of God / 11 Aug

The first date is the date of the inquest, the second the date of death, and
the date at the end is the date on which the death was registered. In this
case all dates are in the same quarter, but if the death occurred on the
24th September and the death registered on 11th October, the death
registration would appear in the December Quarter instead of the September
Quarter!
