JONATHAN HAY 1746-1822

He was born in Epworth, he was baptised 22/1/1747 at St. Andrew's Church to
parents Jonathan and Mary (according to my index he had 7 sisters and 1
brother) As a youth and after his parents had died he moved to Great
Carlton.( again according to my index his parents were Jonathan and Mary MAW
who were married 2/5/1738)
He entered into farming and as a Methodist he met a class at Manby, inviting
preachers into his home. He then moved to a farm at South Reston where he
also built a chapel. When he retired in 1816 he moved to Louth and purchased
two houses foe ministers. He died on April 2nd 1822.
