The Lincolnshire Archives have an "unofficial Methodist Register" covering
1801-1856.

This is an absolute gem if you had ancestors in the parish. It does not
contain just Methodist events nor is it confined to the parish

Here are samples of the more interesting entries

1817 Oct 7 Thomas HALL and Mary GRANT were murdered in their house by
William MARSHALL Raithby, who was took up on suspicion (sic) Friday the
tenth and on Wednesday the 22nd confessed that he alone had done the horrid
deed and on Dec 23rd he died in Lincoln Jail aged 24 - the jury's verdict
was "died from excessive grief"
