MARTHA WATKINS VENABLE, b. at "Haymarket," Prince Edward Co., Va., June 5, 1816; d., after 1904, in Farmville, Va. "She was a talented musician and charming woman"; mar. June 26, 1834, at "Haymarket," William Cabell Flournoy [b. Dec. 3 1809, at "Union Hill," Nelson Co.; d. Mar. 3, 1861; A.B. Hampden-Sidney College, "a talented, distinguished lawyer, an attractive, benevolent, and honorable man; his many virtues will be long remembered."
