William Wadsley's birth certificate does not give the name of his father, only "Mother, Charlotte Wadsley, daughter of William Wadsley, Labourer". Also, William's christening record at Castor Church states "Mother, Charlotte Wadsley, single woman". Although Charlotte married John Beeby in 1887 when William was 3 years old, William retained his mothers maiden name throughout his life, therefore it is very unlikely that John is Williams biological father, though still possible.
