Robert went to America May 25 1873 and returned to Winterton October 18 1885. Described as bricklayer at the time of the christening of his sons on Jan 3 1886 in Winterton although living in Guness.
ROBERT BRAY, Pewaukee; is a native of Lincolnshire, Eng.; was born in the town of Winterton, Jan. 10, 1853. In his native town he learned the mason's trade; Sept. 6, 1872, he married, in Lincolnshire, Emily Kendall. They emigrated to this country in 1873; located in Pewaukee, Waukesha Co., Wis., where they have since resided; they have three children. Mr. Bray takes contracts in brick and stone work, and, being a thorough mechanic, he is steadily engaged. He was Village Marshal in 1879.

Robert aged 55, Emily aged 54 and Eveline G. aged 18 and Hannah aged 16 arrived in Ellis Island, New York on March 28 1908 on the Mauritania out of Liverpool. Home address given as 441 Bannerman Avenue, Winnipeg, Man. His occupation was "contractor', nearest relative in country of origin given as son, Wiliiam, S. Elmsall, Yorks.(between Doncaster and Ponefract)
According to Robin Preston's researcher in Winnipeg Robert Died 16 Dec 1926 at the home of Eveline and buried in the family plot in Elmwood cemetery. His obituary says he was a resident of Winnipeg for 16 years . George Matthew enlisted in the Canadian army in 1914 (aged about 40?) His address was 564 Bannerman Avenue
