bullet  General Notes:

William was called Billy Boy.
He and some of his children were also buried at Trinity Churchyard, Ripon, England.
Their daughter Agnes Wilfreda/Wilfrida (spelled one way on reference 1 and the second way on reference 3) is listed as the 21st child of William and Isabel on reference 1. On reference 3, there are 16 children listed with Agnes being the last. It does not seem plausible that 5 more children would have been born into this family given the dates of these 16 children so close together.
William died at age 45, per his cemetery stone. His stone reads: In affectionate remembrance of William Fowler Stephenson of Bishopton Close, Ripon, who died May 4th 1874 aged 45 years.
The cemetery has a stone which reads: Sacred to the memory of Eliza, the beloved wife of Thomas Clarke and youngest daughter of the late Bernard Hague Esqre of this city, Surgeon; who departed this life in Bondgate, the 28th day of July 1836, aged 24. - "I know whom I have believed". Also in affectionate remembrance of Mary Anne, the second wife of the above named Thomas Clarke, daughter of the late William Fowler Esqre of Winterton, in the county of Lincoln, who died at Bishopton Close, the 16th day of July, 1858. aged 55. "The memory of the just is blessed."
On a childs stone, + J.F.S.
