1891 - she was at school and living at Habrough, Lincolnshire with herparents Joseph and Jane Maria and sister Alice May. Also in the house were Mabel Gertrude ALLENBY, who was Sarah Ann's daughter and Albert Ernest ALLENBY, who was Alice May's son.
1901 - she was living and employed at Lockerley Hall, East Tytherley, Andover, Southampton, Hampshire, in the home of retired magistrate Frederick J. DALGETY and his wife and two young sons. Also in the house were a housekeeper, four laundry maids, four house maids, a kitchen maid, a cook, a lady's maid, a nurse, a nursery maid, a scullery maid, a butler,a footman and an odd (job?) man.
