General Notes:
Thomas Valentine Fowler, or Fowler Rusling, as he was usually called, went to Salem, New Jersey, to teach school, and while there married and settled in that town. He was afterwards Deputy County Clerk, Justice of the Peace, Superintendent Methodist Episcopal Sunday-school, and an active and intelligent man. He was a man of a good deal of character and talent, and marked musical ability, but was accidentally killed on the Pennsylvania Railroad at Rahway, New Jersey, while walking along the track, in 1872.
Thomas married Elizabeth Warr HANCOCK on 15 Dec 1843 in Salem, New Jersey, USA. (Elizabeth Warr HANCOCK was born on 6 Mar 1822 and died on 7 Mar 1889.)
