General Notes:
JAMES RUSLING, the second son of James and Mary Fowler Rusling, was born August 8, 1789, at Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, England. He was brought up on a farm in Warren County, New Jersey, and ultimately put into my grandfather's store and became a merchant at Andersontown, New Jersey. He was a member of the firm of James Rusling & Sons, as I have heretofore said. After my grandfather's decease, James and my father dissolved partnership, and James went to live at Easton, Penna. I do not think he had any business, but lived quietly on what means he had, probably a few thousand dollars. He married a Miss Rebecca Ray Loder.
